The socKCer logo and “Put the KC in soccer” aren’t going anywhere. We just wanted a site name that works as well when you say it as when you see it — and one that makes it a little clearer where to find us.
The new name also comes at a good time to put some new energy into what we want to do here.
We still want to tell KC’s youth soccer stories — spotlighting youth players, families, coaches and others shaping the game in our community. And we want to get out and watch more soccer around Kansas City and tell some of the stories we find along the way.
We also want KCinsoccer to be useful. That means sharing local events and opportunities, clubs, training programs, coaches, camps and other resources that can help connect the Kansas City soccer community.
And we know we won’t find all of it ourselves.
If there’s a player, coach, team, event, opportunity or story you think we should know about, we’d love to hear from you.
There’s a lot of soccer happening around Kansas City. We’re looking forward to seeing more of it — and sharing more of it.
